Child’s i Foundation
Skills flexed:
Branding, Graphic Design, Photo Retouching.
Background:
Child's i Foundation is a small non-profit with a big impact. They work with governments, national partners, and a worldwide network of supporters to highlight the harm and cost of orphanages in Uganda and globally. They rely heavily on the generosity of donations and volunteers … and that’s where I came in, as a volunteer graphic design specialist.
Needing some strong collateral to educate and introduce the adoption process in Uganda, I worked closely with both the Ugandan and UK teams to define all content for the material. It needed to be timeless to allow for longer print runs and ultimately keep rework costs down for the charity.
Outcome:
I took Child i’s very limited library of existing brand assets and formed CI guidelines for all their future print materials. With my direction, the Ugandan team was able to take photos at the adoption centre, which with some retouching formed part of my final design.
The final result was a clean and easy-to-follow booklet, which further pushed forward the charity’s brand look and feel.
